Tufted Tiff

Food Fight at Feeder

The tufted titmouse in the upper center of the top photo had just taken off from the right side of the feeder only to land immediately on the opposite side and crowd out the titmouse with the seed in its beak. That was too much for the latter which took to flight as seen in the bottom photo.

But wait! On the lower right of the bottom photo can be seen the talon of a wren just landing. Moments later the first titmouse took to flight only to be replaced by a chickadee on the left side of the feeder. The wren and the chickadee seemed to get along only slightly better.
