The morning crescent moon grinned down from the sky while a banana spider seemed suspended overhead in its invisible web, and we hoped it would not pounce upon us as we passed under. Of course, it is supposed to be more afraid of us than we are of it, but that was of little comfort as we eyed the creepy critter.
