Fried Frog in Forced Air Unit Circuit Board

We awoke to a warm house yesterday, about five degrees warmer than expected. An error code on the thermostat indicated what we already knew, something was wrong. I switched off the breakers for a few seconds, then turned them back on in an attempt to reset it, and it seemed to work for about five minutes; then the error code returned. Fortunately, a call to “Fast Air Heating and Cooling” got a quick response and a technician arrived later that morning.

He quickly found the source; some time in the past, a frog had discovered too late, the shocking consequences of climbing onto a powered up electrical board, and it had eventually caused the board to fail. They located and installed a new circuit board by mid afternoon as the indoor temperatures rose into the low 80’s before once again normalizing.

It was relief to feel the cool air in the house once more, but one problem remains. I am still not sure what to tell Miss Piggy.
