Termination Dust

In Denali National Park

An overnight snowstorm painted the peaks white in Denali National Park and descended to the upper reaches of the valleys below. Our bus trundled over a winding park road that led into and out of the snow zone as we marveled at this “termination dust,” the first of much colder, snowy weather soon to follow. Summer was over as were the temporary jobs it brought, and autumn had but a scant couple of weeks before winter dominated the scene for many months to come.
