Hunting the Moon

Gibbous Hunter’s Moon

For the next several days, the brightening Hunter’s Moon will light the evening skies as it climbs higher above the horizon each evening. Following the Harvest Moon, it once provided light in the autumn for hunters to add to the winter food stocks in the days before supermarkets and Amazon deliveries. Now, it may be neglected, replaced by electric lights and digital screens, but it remains a glorious sight for anyone who choses to look for it, even if just for a minute.
