Sunshine After Rain

Rain and wind buffeted the trees and streets as an atmospheric river poured over the Pacific Northwest. Finally gaps in the “streams” allowed fingers of sunlight through to paint this rainbow. Hurdlers bobbed up and down as they seemed to fly over the obstacles at a track meet at Southwestern Oregon Community College recently. Shadow Monsters Inc.

Sun rays, direct and reflected, created a complex shadow “monster” on the wall that resembles something from Mystery Science Theater 3000. It took me some time to figure out just how the shadows related to the objects in the foreground.
