While the central and northeastern U.S. is battling frigid temperatures and snow, our only snow is fake and is indoors. I like it that way. #snow #indoors #floridawinter #cold

Living the Dream
For me this is not just a tale; the Fairy is real. Few could be so lucky. #fairytale #livingthedream #lucky #real
Crosswind
The orange windsock on the lower right of the photo is nearly straight out with 15 knot winds gusting to 25 directly across to the runway. Good time for light aircraft to remain on the ground. I did successfully challenge similar winds once in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in a Piper Clipper but the runway was muchContinue reading “Crosswind”
Morning Moon
Shy and unassuming, the crescent moon had just risen above the trees. It was caressed by cirrus clouds that heralded an approaching cold front that would darken the skies the following day. In the meantime, the moon slowly crossed the daytime sky and hours later cast a glorious glow in the evening twilight ahead ofContinue reading “Morning Moon”
Little Red Rising Bulb
It was one of three in a box that promised holiday blooms. The other two were gifts for others and burst forth in blossoms as predicted, but this one is a bit delayed. Its original shoots were damaged and dropped off, but new ones have arisen so, perhaps this one may eventually bloom as well.Continue reading “Little Red Rising Bulb”
Sun Near and Far

Earth is over a million miles closer to the sunContinue reading “Sun Near and Far”
Frosty the Frog
This poor little frog sat immobile on the edge of the road, soaking up sun rays in hopes of getting warm enough to be able to hop again. It was too cold to leap away as I took this up-close photo but rather, remained motionless. Though mostly out of harms way, I certainly hope heContinue reading “Frosty the Frog”

Autumn and Spring with Winter Between
There is a glow autumn gold from the maple leaves in the front yard while azaleas beam the colors of spring. In the meantime, winter will soon burst onto the scene with frost and temperatures near freezing. These two plants will weather it well, but it is time to cover the pineapples. #autumn #spring #winterContinue reading “Autumn and Spring with Winter Between”
Bearly Over
Christmas is over; the new year has arrived. Is it safe to come out yet? I don’t know, perhaps I should just sleep on it…until spring. #bear #christmasseason #newyear
