Slip-slidin’ Away

This creepy little slimer with the thin shell appears to be contemplating crossing the street. I really wouldn’t recommend it since per Wikipedia, they have an average speed of about 0.03 MPH with a record speed nearly double that held by “Archie,” who did 13 inches in 2 minutes decades ago in England. Inching Along

Another curiosity appeared during our walk yesterday. A small caterpillar “inching” its way across the street seemed to have adapted colors of the asphalt. It seemed very appropriately named, and inchworm is much easier to say and remember than geometer moth, which this caterpillar will turn into if it survives.
