Feeding a Flying Mouse

Tufted Titmouse at Feeder

I had work to do in the yard; fertilize some plants, water a dry area, put fresh water in the birdbath, and finally, replenish the bird feeders. It sounds simple, but the feathery fiends kept diving to the feeders, and I felt obliged to wait until they finished. Finally, there was a break, and I got all of it accomplished and just in time. Soon the titmice, cardinals, chickadees, and even a woodpecker were back jostling one another again and bringing their appetites with them. However, it was this titmouse that stole the show.
