At the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center we were able to safely view grizzly bears that were confined. I named the bear in the photo Griz, and another bear lying in a nearby slough out of camera range, Bear-it. It was a delightful scene, but not one what I would want to duplicate in the wild.
