Chickadee Signals Surrender

Three times the poor little chickadee tried to get the wren to share the feeder, but the wren would not hear of it. The third time the startled chickadee stopped in mid flight, threw its wings up as if to surrender, and turned around to make its getaway. During their exchange, I think I heard the wren’s birdy word equivalent of: “I’ve had about enough–of you.”
