Clouds cast shadows and showers between sunbeams across a sandy shore and a rippled sea during our first full day at Grand Cayman. However, even rain could not dampen our spirits, but merely added to a colorful collection of happy memories.

Grand Cayman
At long last Grand Cayman once again came into view yesterday. March 2020 was our last visit there and we left just a week before they closed the airport due to the ”plague.” Now we’re back; good times with good friends.
Ibis Flyby
One more late afternoon delight during a boat ride.
Bright and Beautiful
A bright, beautiful morning greeting appeared during our morning walk recently and created a lasting, cheerful memory.
Pond Puppy
We had a lovely sunset cruise yesterday on Lake Henderson in central Florida with friends which included Poppy, the poodle puppy who is now three months old and weighs 20 pounds. She seemed to have almost as much fun as we did.
Wisps in the Woods
This wispy flowering tree brightened our morning walk. Usually, the wispy blooms were too high to get close up photo, but with the help of my wife holding the branch a little lower, this one was just right. Perhaps it’s time to celebrate with a breakfast drink of the same name!

A Happy Thought
Happy Mother’s Day

Wasp Nest
On our way back from our walk recently we discovered this wasp nest on our lawn. It apparently had fallen from a tree. The egg chambers are surrounded by paper-like layers, presumably to protect from sun and weather. We had never seen anything like this before, and hopefully, we won’t encounter any of its formerContinue reading “Wasp Nest”
