There has been plenty of rain this year which has produced a bumper crop of flowers. Purple pastels line many of the roads and will be followed by other flowery colors, providing a delightful distraction from daily duties. No fooling, even though it is April 1! #flowers #spring #roadside

French Polynesia 2012 Day 1, To the Paradise Islands
Accidental Travel Blog
Yesterday I was uploading my journal of our travels to French Polynesia in 2012 when I accidently posted our visit to Fakarava on the blog site instead of the “pages” site. Lurking in the Louvers
It’s a curious life for a lizard. It spends most of its life looking for something to eat while trying not to get eaten itself in the process, or mangled by moving parts of air conditioning units. Spring Green
The equinox has past as has the first full moon of spring. The trees are in their finest foliage, and Easter is just down the road. #spring #trees #forest #equinox #fullmoon #easter
Wings in Waiting
A neighbor summonsed us to a severely-eaten milkweed plant where two small monarch caterpillars nimbly nibbled away at remaining stalks of the plant. Others had devoured all of the leaves, and then each had crawled off to nearby shrubs to form a chrysalis, from which they will emerge with wings in 10-14 days as theContinue reading “Wings in Waiting”
Aw Shucks
A visit to the local farmer’s market brought back happy memories of our childhood days on the farms where we grew up. The produce was almost as fresh as if we had picked it ourselves. Once back home we quickly husked the ears in anticipation of a delightful meal; or did we shuck them? IContinue reading “Aw Shucks”
