A small, female wasp not only laid eggs in the tiny, mud nests seen in the photo, but left “treats” for its offspring to appreciate later when they hatch and need nourishment to grow. Two small insects were stung into submission and then placed in the nests with the eggs to be the hatchlings’ food. Their remains are partly visible protruding from the small, mud nests.
It is said that Mother Nature takes care of it’s own; I suspect that there were once two little bugs that might say otherwise.
