After parking the car at a friend’s house, I looked up to see this bright, white magnolia blossom and just had to get its photo. It was a pleasant beginning to a lovely day.

Pickin,’ Sippin,’ and Grinnin’ (and Shoppin’) at Peddler’s Wagon
Fairy and I took a friend to the Peddler’s Wagon for shopping and fun yesterday. We all enjoyed the store for a while, then I went outside to play ukulele while the ladies continued shopping. A while later the proprietors came outside with a glass of punch and thanked me for the music. One offeredContinue reading “Pickin,’ Sippin,’ and Grinnin’ (and Shoppin’) at Peddler’s Wagon”
Moon in June
Daytime rains yielded to blue skies that faded into a golden sunset with a grinning crescent Moon watching over the scene. Perhaps it is a good omen of happy times to come.
Warbird Salute

Like the old cartoon character, Woody Woodpecker, the piliated woodpeckers are loud, flashy, and alwaysContinue reading “Piliated Pair”
Purple Panoply
We took time to enjoy this morning marvel, an agapanthus blooming in our front yard, a happy thought to start this memorial weekend.
Backyard Dinner
A red-shouldered hawk dines on a dead squirrel by the bird feeder in the backyard. Some birds feed on the seeds in the feeder, some squirrels feed on nuts below the feeder, and some hawks feed on those who dine at the feeders.
Artsy-fartsy?
I don’t really know what to make of wing sculptures that appear to be flying a** backwards, but if they had a finger, I certainly wouldn’t pull it!
