More Than Just Birds Fly in Moorea
During dolphin tours on Moorea, more than the birds were flying. These wild spinner dolphins leaped and twirled for their audience as we watched in wonder.
Different Islands, Different Bird
As opposed to yesterday’s post of the blue-footed booby, we were exactly what this brown booby wanted. It was hungry and looking for a handout as we watched for dolphins during a lagoon tour in Moorea.
What Are You Lookin’ At?
On the Galapagos Islands the creatures rule while people are meerly a curiosity to be watched, not feared by the inhabitants. In this case, this blue-footed booby is seeking a mate, and from the look on his face, we definitely ain’t what he’s looking for.
Beauty-full Moon

January Fall
Yep, it’s winter in Florida and now the leaves are falling. Tonight we will approach the freezing mark and while it may not ice over the birdbath, it will leave some frost on the shingles. At least it is leaves that will be falling, not snow.

This time last year we were treated by family to a stay at the assistant lighthouse keeper’s house at North Head Lighthouse in southern Washington near the mouth of the Columbia River.
