Tucked securely under a leaf, this double hibiscus was well protected from showers passing through and brightened our rainy day.

Shy Passion
While it is called a purple passion flower, it seems just a bit shy. Though showing most of its petals, some are tucked behind leaves like a child clinging to its mother’s skirt. So I left it in peace, taking with me only a photo and a memory.
Happy Hibiscus
We just planted this a few days ago and now it is smiling at us.
Old Dog, New Tricks?
‘Ole Hank, a chocolate Labrador has a new young friend, Bella, a black Labrador. Perhaps Hank can learn some new tricks from Bella. Or maybe not, but regardless, they both seem to be having a good time.
All Shook Up
Our old shaker had tarnished to a dull gray, so we replaced it with a bright, new one. Perhaps we couldn’t decide on a color, so we picked all of them!

He’s back. Though recently evicted, this pesky frog took up a defiant reoccupation of the birdhouse meant for wrens. I would consider having him tarred and feathered if the presence of feathers would not heighten his sense of entitlement to this avian accommodation.

Magnolia Moment
After parking the car at a friend’s house, I looked up to see this bright, white magnolia blossom and just had to get its photo. It was a pleasant beginning to a lovely day.

Moon in June
Daytime rains yielded to blue skies that faded into a golden sunset with a grinning crescent Moon watching over the scene. Perhaps it is a good omen of happy times to come.
